In a nutshell, I was saddened. I'm not surprised. As a High School student, I saw similar things. As I got older, I've seen worse. This year's VMA isn't ton's different than ones past. I mean, sure, there are ton's of comments and posts about different viewpoints regarding the show. There seems to be this huge cry regarding 'Love'. I think there always has and always will be. We can poke all we want at the VMAs and highlight much of the things that went on at this year's show. There is a ton of it. TheSource4YM gives a really clear overview of all the topics we can discuss. Click Here Am I excited about all of that, no. But this is what I know. Students will continue to cry out to be loved, regardless of their background. Sometimes because of their background.
Will will listen? Will we love on them? Will we remind them of the fact that they ARE loved? Who will express to them what they are capable of and even when they fail, what they still can be capable of? In the midst of all that goes on today, How can we better Explain and Express God's Love to them?
